What kind of life insurance do we need? and what is a good company to buy from?
asked:
My husband and I are 28 years old, have three children and plan to have one more child in the near future. We live in Virginia (DC area). His annual earnings are about $70k; I also work part time earning annually about $35k. We currently have life insurance through our employers, but we want to get policies on our own. Can anyone recommend a good company to go with and a type of policy that we should get?

You need term life insurance. Forget the policies that include a savings or payback of premiums.
I recommend that you see a financial advisor because while a good term policy is “critical” right now to protect the income stream, you must also provide for a couple of important financial stability factors. I’m talking about an emergency fund, a retirement fund, and even a “fun fund” to allow your family to de-stress occasionally.
There are many reputable companies in your area. One I am very familiar with is “Primerica Financial Services”.
Good thinking. You will sleep better when you get this on track!
